So glad you are here with me.

Welcome to Stella & Dorrie Studio

I’ve always been a maker, art lover, a storyteller, and a teacher. For years I tried to keep those roles neatly separated. Turns out they’re better together.

Art for people who fight the cold with warmth and community, and, yes, for folks who still get excited about fireflies.

Welcome to my art world of color, memory, and connection.

  • Hello!

Hi, I’m Miranda — creative, artist, former teacher, and founder of Stella & Dorrie Studio.

I create original artwork that’s meant to do more than fill a wall. It’s meant to connect.

I make art to slow things down, to hold memory, spark imagination, and make space for connection.

Each piece invites a pause. A small moment of beauty, grounding, or hope.

    Wait… who’s Stella?

Stella & Dorrie Studio is named after two beloved pets from our family’s menagerie:

Stella the cat and Dorrie the dog - longtime companions and emotional support specialists.

They’re not painting anything (trust me), but they are the spirit behind the studio: loyal, curious, sometimes mischievous, and always full of love.

    — So no, I’m not Stella. —

But I am the one doing the drawing, painting, packing... and making a glorious mess behind the scenes.

  • A gentle yet expressive gouache painting of a rabbit mid-bound, caught in motion across a softly toned, dreamlike landscape. The colors are muted and earthy, with a sense of momentum and lightness. The composition suggests trust, instinct, and the brave moment of leaping forward—before knowing how the landing will feel.

    Who This is For

This is for the ones who keep the light on.

Who hold memory and meaning in their homes, their stories, and on their walls.

Who believe that beauty isn’t frivolous - it’s fuel.

If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
