Shipping and Packaging

Shipping & Packaging FAQ

Where do you ship from?

Every order is lovingly packed and shipped from my home studio in Massachusetts. It's just me here — your artist, box-folder, tape-wrangler, and mail carrier-wisher — making sure each piece arrives safely to your door.

How much is shipping?

I use flat-rate shipping to keep things simple and transparent:

💌 $4.75 — Postcards-Only Shipments
→ For single or mix & match art postcards
→ Ships in sturdy eco-mailers (as available) with protective sleeves
✨ Full postcard sets (like Summer of Gouache) ship free within the U.S. and are packed flat in a rigid mailer with a backing board for protection.
→ That’s Small & Mighty ✉️

🎨 $7 — Flat Artwork & Mix-and-Match Print/Postcard Orders
→ For prints and unframed original pieces (5×7, 6×6, 8×8, 8×10)
→ Also covers mixed orders of prints + postcards, or full-art-card sets
→ Ships in sturdy rigid mailers with backboard + protective sleeves
→ That’s Painted & Posted ✉️

📦 $12 — Matted Prints & Bulky Works
→ For xl, matted, wooden panel, or thicker pieces (11×14, 12×12) and larger originals
→ Wrapped carefully with added padding or boxed for safe travels
→ Ships in 12×15 rigid mailers or flat boxes
→ That’s Snug & Secure ✉️

$25 — International Orders (flat rate, most zones)
→ Please note: customs or VAT may apply in your country.

Do you offer free shipping?

At this time, I don’t offer site-wide free shipping — because I’d rather keep artwork prices honest and transparent. But if I ever run a special offer (like free-shipping weekends), subscribers get first dibs!

When will my order ship?

Orders ship within 5 business days — often sooner. If you need something rushed or have a special request, just reach out. I’ll always do my best to help.

Will I get tracking?

Yes! You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details as soon as your order is on the way.

How is the artwork packaged?

With love, care, and good tape:

  • Flat pieces are wrapped with glassine, backed with backing board, and sealed in compostable sleeves before mailing (Painted & Posted).
  • Wooden artworks are cushioned in sturdy boxes to prevent shifting or damage (Snug & Secure).

I use recyclable and compostable materials whenever possible.

What if something goes wrong in the journey?

I pack each piece with care and intention, but once it leaves my hands, it’s in the care of the real world. If your artwork arrives damaged, please email me at stelladorriestudio@gmail.com within 4 days of delivery and include a photo of the issue.

Because each piece is one of a kind, I can’t offer exact replacements — but I will make it right. That may mean a refund of some kind, a credit toward another original, or something else thoughtful depending on the situation. I handle each case personally and with kindness.
