A white cat settles into a green chair, watching over the pages of a well-loved book as lamplight glows against the tall shelves. If you’ve ever stayed too long in a cozy chair with a good story, you know this scene.

Painted on 100% cotton archival paper, the image itself measures 2⅝" × 2⅝" (square format), with a soft border of unpainted paper.  It is signed on the reverse.

This piece is part of my Kindling Season collection - a series of original paintings made to honor the season of gathering light, warmth, and transition. It’s a season of lamp-lit corners, early darkness, rituals, and comforts — where we draw close to what we love, and where company matters.

Framing Notes

Painted on high-quality archival paper and mounted on acid-free backing board. The image itself is 2⅝" square, centered on a 3⅞" square sheet — leaving a clean ⅝" border for easy matting or float framing.  These pieces look especially charming in small vintage frames. Warm metallics (like copper or antique gold) and textured edges bring out the depth of the artwork.
